Spot ether ETFs recorded their fifth straight day of withdrawals, with a total of $952 million leaving during this period. This trend is the opposite of spot bitcoin ETFs, which gained $246.4 million in net inflows over the past week. Even with investors pulling money out, the price of ether still climbed more than 16% in the past month. A key reason for this rise was the approval of the GENIUS Act, which gave traders and investors more confidence in ether’s long-term potential.

Spot ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw money leave for the fifth day in a row this week, with total outflows reaching $952 million. Of that, more than $787 million was withdrawn during just four trading days. This comes after a very strong August, when spot ether ETFs brought in a record $3.87 billion. At the same time, bitcoin ETFs faced net outflows of $751 million, according to data from SoSoValue. The quick shift from large inflows to heavy withdrawals shows how investor sentiment toward ether has changed sharply in just a few weeks.

Friday saw the biggest drop, with $446.71 million pulled out of ETH-linked funds in a single day. In contrast, spot bitcoin ETFs showed strength, bringing in $246.4 million in net inflows over the past week. This difference is striking because bitcoin ETFs had faced $751.1 million in outflows just last month.

Ether’s price has risen more than 16% over the past month, although it fell 1.8% in the last week and now trades just under $4,300. The recent gains are linked to the GENIUS Act becoming law. The new rules limit stablecoin issuers from paying interest and offer clearer regulations, which may encourage larger institutions to invest in cryptocurrencies like ether.
